    update
    28 January 2010, 6:18 am
We are going to re-run SPAM 2000 to correct those known issues (some
posted online, some did not due to the reluctance of the
commentators). If you found some errors/concerns, please inform us no
later than mid February and so it could be included in this update.
All feedbacks later than this February would be dealt with in the next
Re: Shift in data by approximately one half a cell

    *UPDATE*
The correct xll and yll corner values are -159.8333 and -55.5000,
respectively. This has been fixed for the new release v3r2 - you can
download the corrected data files from the MapSPAM website (http://
mapspam.info/download-data). Since the change is not really visible at
global/regional scale, the map image files were not updated yet. Sorry
Shift in data by approximately one half a cell
    21 January 2010, 5:14 pm
It was reported that the lower left coordinates (xll & yll) provided
in the header portion of the ASCII data download files are incorrect
resulting in a negative shift in the data of approximately one half a
    cell.
To correct this, before converting the ASCII file to a raster, change
the xll corner value to -159.834657 and the yll corner to -55.472909.
    Welcome!
